Flying Pigs

In ‘What if Pigs Can Fly?’, author Van Lai-DuMone describes the inspiration for the title of her book – a polymer clay flying pig hanging off the rearview mirror of her 1993 Toyota Tercel. She writes, “That whimsical polymer clay pig always in my peripheral view, swaying back and forth, soaring against the backdrop of cityscapes, mountains, and ocean. I think the presence of that flying pig subconsciously encouraged me to believe that the seemingly impossible is indeed possible. And if that little clay pig could take flight, you and I have the capacity to achieve anything we can imagine.”
